Thanks Steve, really helpful topic. Got a quote to bring in my car from Ireland with the company you used. I still live in Ireland, but spend 6 colder months in Spain. Yes, used cars are very pricey in Spain. Right-hand drive sounds like something I can live with. Keep on saying fantastic! I love it. Am here at the moment myself. Love the blue skies and sunshine.
Thanks for the info! Overtaking, pulling out after parking and paying tolls etc never even would have entered my mind 😆 Think I’d prefer a left hand drive 👍 cheers!
This is a very helpful video. 😎 I *believe* the import cost will be based on the amount of horsepowers your car has and maybe even emissions. So getting a quote is definitely a must, as you say. 👍
Interesting info, thank you - for those who wish to source a car in Spain, do check out new car packages at dealers. It is often good value with insurance, servicing etc included. We decided to buy a small new car to keep in Spain for when we are here, although as residents in the UK, we are limited to how many days we are allowed (90/180)
super video, I wouldn't bother bringing a car from UK unless to transport stuff over or a camper to sleep in, Ryanair costs maybe €30 and second hand cars here have longer life expectancy like you said... plus the right hand drive bother and lots of fees. I actually drove to Andalusia in a converted British Leyland bus early eighties and lived in it, didn't have to register it or anything back then
Good info! I did my car...was expensive but the difference in road-tax is enormes so I save a lot on that 🙂 (Holland: 126 euro per MONTH, Spain: 179 Euro per YEAR for my car).
My advice after doing it is if you can buy a lhd in UK on Spanish plates and drive it over you'll struggle to sell a rhd drive in Spain even after you've put Spanish plates on it which will cost a lot mine was 1500 euro to put plates on Spanish cars are very expensive good second hand are very expensive good luck . 👍🏴🦊
Hello from Galway Steve ...Great video once again . Quick question off topic regarding Guardamar Del Segura, would you think its a bit too quiet to live all year round?? Thanks
@@paulegan232 Hi Paul, Guardamar is a lovely place but I moved away because I don't speak Spanish and there are not to many English speakers there and yes, it's quiet, especially this time of year! 👍😊
If you enjoy the video, please give it a thumbs up, subscribe and share to anyone you think it would benefit 🥰💚
